The Pedernales Fire Department Auxiliary's mission is to support our Fire Department and Firefighters with fundraisers and by providing assistance during fires, emergencies and natural disasters. The Board plans and sponsors several fundraising activities during the year. We also publish the Siren, a newsletter about PFS and our District.

We started our Zombie Response Team website in late 2010 in the hopes that we can educate people about survival tactics for not just the zombie apocalypse, but any disaster/emergency situation. Each One Teach One Adult and Family Literacy Program of San Antonio is the only non-profit in the city that provides one on one tutoring to adults in reading, writing and math and to adults who are studying to take the GED exam.
